In wake of the recent economic crisis,I have something to share with my readers.I went to the library yesterday to discuss my bahas with my team, but knowing me,I always arrive early. In Fact, earlier than expected. So I went around reading random books until I found this one book which I find intresting.I have forgotten the title, yes, but I am sure it is about wealth-sharing.
For years, two different ideologies about wealth sharing has dominated our world. The first one,a product of America,is Capitalism. The capitalist's theory of wealth-sharing revolves around one saying,to simplify things.A Man for Himself.Let me explain how this works.
Quite simple really.Ben works harder than John,so Ben earns more than John. And Ben does not really need to share anything with John because the profit is the product of his labour. On the rough, this really seems quite fair, but Capitalism has its cons.Like I said,in Capitalism,he who works more earns more, but there are some Capitalists who is focused only on the earning part.So they go for the big profits. They invest and gamble. When their gamble foils, they simply raise the prices of their products.
Now let's go on to ideology No. 2.Communism.About more than a century ago a philosopher by the name of Karl Marx invented this theory that goes around only one saying. All Men Are Equal. This theory is adopted by the Russians during 1919-1991,and later China (1949-present).The theory is simple. No matter how hard Ben or John works, they will gather their profits together and then divide it equally. The problem with Communism is that while it is fair during wealth sharing,Ben might feel very lazy one day and just wait until his profits are gathered with John's and divided. This will be unfair to John,as he might have worked ten times harder than Ben.
However, recently,a new religion-related ideology about wealth-sharing has emerged.I call this ideology Islamism. An Islamist's theory of ideology is that we have to follow the Muslim Law in businessess. This Law,in a large extent, encourages competitiveness among people. It is nearly the same as Communism when it comes to wealth sharing. It is just that every year, the rich must always give out zakat.Zakat,in a way,is similar to taxes. The only difference is that taxes are used generally for a country's need.Zakat, however,is generally used for the poor.It is only when the country is in real need might the zakat be used.Speaking as a muslim,I see no flaw in this system yet.Feel free to inform me if you think different.
So,all in all, which one will you prefer?I leave it to you to decide.I'm just here to provide details.Wassalam.

Hello, world. My name is Ishak Johari and I'm a political analyst and a politician myself.YEAH RIGHT.
Okay, updates.Today has been good.Woke up at 3:00 this morning and again did something that you people should not know about.Made breakfast and ate while watching 'I am Legend'.I think I have a man-crush on Will Smith.haha.Went out for jogging at 8.30 before I went to the market for my mum.Baiknya anak mak.Friday prayers today, and while waiting for the azan, this Indonesian cleric came up to me and we talked religion. He challenged me to read the first two pages of Surah Yasin.Easy.I then told him that I'm from a madrasah and he seemed surprised that Singapore has a full-time madrasah. After prayers I met A'lim and A'rif and we went to the Al-mukminin library to discuss(what else?) bahas. After that I went to Jurong Point to hang out.Alone.heh.But I promised myself that I will never go out with Miss A.Maksiat tu namanya. After that I went home and ate instant noodles as my mum's out.And now I'm posting.
Post ends.
If we do not understand the world, how can we expect it to understand us?
